Scripture: Revelation 21:1-8

What do we do when the weight of the world feels unbearable—when we see broken systems, shattered lives, and deep injustice all around us? In this sermon, we’re invited to anchor our hope not in utopian dreams or political fixes, but in the promise of Jesus: “Behold, I am making all things new.”

Preaching from Revelation 21, this message explores the final act of the biblical story—new creation—and what it means for how we live today. The future isn’t escape. It’s restoration. Heaven isn’t about clouds and harps—it’s about God coming down to dwell with his people, to wipe every tear, and to set all things right.

With honest stories of injustice and heartbreak from our own city, we’re reminded that Christian hope doesn’t mean checking out. It means living now as a counter-cultural, Spirit-empowered community that reflects the world to come. The church is political—not through power plays, but through love, sacrifice, and everyday faithfulness.

This is good news for the weary and the justice-hungry. God is not making all new things—He is making all things new.
